Chapter 132: Monster tower!
Chapter 132: Monster tower!
The monster tower was a famous inheritance dungeon. It generated billions of platinum of revenue every month, as a large number of awakened enters this dungeon, clear the monsters, and sell the magical beast cores and items they receive inside every day. And yes, the monsters inside automatically spawn after a certain amount of time.
"This is the Monster Tower, created by an ancient civilization. It has a total of one hundred floors and a king's throne. However, no one has reached the throne room. The first ten floors are dedicated to the F-rank awakens. It is filled with 1-star to 2-star magical beasts. The next ten floors are dedicated to E-ranker. It is filled with 2-star to 4-star magical beasts. Similarly, every ten floors, the power level of magical beasts will increase." Elder Zachary explained while remembering his childhood days.
This was the place where his father would usually take him to practice the way of fighting. This was also the place where his master took him to train different ways to use inscriptions and formations.
After a momentary pause, he pointed at a magical rune symbol located on the base of the monolith structure and continued, "Do you see that magical rune symbol?"
"Yes,"
"Go there!"
Whittaker pushed his wheelchair to the base of the Monster Tower.
Suddenly, a burly guard used his weapon to block them, stopping them from going ahead, and asked for their ID to fulfill his duty.
"Sire, Hold up. First, show me your identification card." He said in an emotionless and formal tone.
This dungeon was controlled by the Wind Empire and everyone entering it must provide an ID to enter. Also, they must agree to hand over 30% of their total earnings after leaving the dungeon otherwise, they wouldn't be allowed to enter.
Sadly, the Guard didn't know that Elder Zachary was the previous Grand Prince and the current King of the Feng Palace.
The kingdom of Wind and the Kingdom of Water had a tradition of appointing someone as Grand Prince. Grand Prince is a prince who is to succeed the throne in case the crown prince dies. In this era, Although the crown prince didn't die and became the emperor of Wind, Elder Zachary was still awarded the Feng palace the residence of the previous emperor for his great merits!
He was King Feng and could enter any place he wished to without the need of following the Wind Kingdom rules. This was the authority granted to him by the Emperor!
"You don't know me?" Elder Zachary asked with a smile and the guard shook his head. He certainly didn't know who Zachary was, as he hasn't appeared in public for hundreds of years, only his name echoes throughout the continent.
"That's what a person gets for being anti-social," Whittaker added salt to injury with a beaming smile and earned himself a stern glare for the Elder.
"Old man, who are you? Why would my big brother know a cripple like you? If you don't have an ID then get lost. You're blocking the way of people standing behind!"
Suddenly, a boyish voice resounded from behind as four to five youngsters equipped with a full set of equipment appeared.
Instantly, two icy cold eyes glared dagger at him. Without giving Elder Zachary any chance to say anything, Whittaker angrily said,
"How dare you disrespect my master?"
He was a hot-blooded youngster that didn't support disrespecting Elders. Especially because Elder Zachary was his elder.
"Little pest, do you want a beating?" The young man taunted, once again.
"Hah, in the end, you will be the one eating the dust and crying "MOMMY!" Whittaker burned Kira so hard that he fumed in rage and pulled out his B-rank Class weapon.
A battle was about to begin but Elder Zachary stopped Whittaker by intelligently saying,
"Young friend, there's no need to bite back when a roadside dog barks at you!"
This was the last straw for Kira and he was about to rush out when someone grabbed his hand otherwise, they will both be punished because of breaking the law by troubling visitors.
"Kira, enough. You shouldn't disrespect Elders!" Simultaneously, the guard scolded Kira. He turned towards Elder Zachary and said in a stern yet gentle tone, "Sir, if you don't have an ID then I can not allow you to enter. It's the rule set by the empire and I can't disobey it. I hope you don't mind."
'He's a good guard! Following the rules by the book,' Elder Zachary thought internally. He didn't want to trouble the guard because of his insolent younger brother so he focused his attention on the spatial bracelet to find his ID card.
"No worries!" Elder Zachary replied with a smile while pulling out an Emerald card from his spatial ring and handed it over to the guard for inspection.
When the guard took a look at it, his eyes popped and his mouth opened wide as if he had been struck by lightning that descended from heaven.
Instantly, the guard dropped to his knees and respectfully cupped his hand in front of Elder Zachary,
"Grand lord, it's an honor to meet! Please forgive my brother for his previous offense!"
"Grand lord?" Kira was shocked. Only imperial royal, Grand general, and retired dukes were referred to as Grand Lord. "Fuck, I just offended a Grand Lord! Goddamn, I am doomed!"
The so-called friends instantly distanced themselves from Kira, leaving him alone to face Elder Zachary's judgment.
"You're still not kneeling?" The guard angrily shouted him. He pulled the hand of his brother and forced him to kneel in front of the Grand Lord.
"No need to kneel. You were just doing your duty. And, I forgive him. If youngster wouldn't be hot-blooded then who would, me? Hahaha," Elder Zachary was known for his carefree and eccentric personality, so he cracked a joke.
"Hahahaha!" When he laughed, the other laughed as well, including the guard and his little brother. They were following etiquette.
He was a grand lord, after all, disgracing him means execution!
