Flashy Adventurer System : Show Off to Get Stronger!

Chapter 435 Temporary Goodbyes And New Beginnings

For an entire month, Shye lived his dream life, helping Shirley complete quests at unprecedented speeds during the day, and rolling around in bed or sleeping bags at night—with the aid of contraceptive elixirs, of course, as they weren't quite ready to have a child just yet.

Furthermore, he was able to make up for his shortcomings as a boyfriend by spoiling her, providing not only luxurious rooms and meals for a whole month but also by giving her one unique-tier, two rare-tier, two uncommon-tier, and three common-tier warrior skills for a total of around 130,000 points.

Lastly, he bought Shirley a diamond-tier membership at Constantine Consumables, along with an array of elixirs and tonics designed to rapidly boost the growth rate of her attributes and the level of her skills for 2,500 gold coins.

A bit much, however, he sincerely wanted Shirley to catch up to him as soon as possible.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

Hence, he gave her staggering amounts of gifts, leaving her dizzy at the sight of all the expensive items she would need to save for months to afford even one.

Still, all she did was thank her lover for everything, not daring to act distant anymore after their heart-to-heart talk a month prior.

They both yearned for the day when they could stand and fight together.

Thus, despite feeling embarrassed at receiving such astonishing items worth mind-boggling prices, Shirley gratefully accepted them all, knowing that even with such resources, she might only be able to offer limited assistance to her lover.

Yet, that was enough for her.

Just being together with Shye was more than enough…

After all, her lover was destined for greatness, and she desired nothing more than to stand by his side as he ascended to prominence.

Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end.

Tonight was their last night together, yet, for some reason, there wasn't a hint of sadness in their hearts.

Perhaps it was because their chances of staying and fighting together in the future had increased significantly, coupled with the reduction in the number of days they had to wait for that future to arrive.

…Ending the night with one last romantic intercourse, Shye left the next morning, leaving her a letter with a few important reminders and words of affection.

He shall visit her again.

For the time being, he had to focus on traveling towards the city of dreams as he would likely arrive two weeks later than the anticipated date he was supposed to report to the guild's main headquarters in Valenzia City.

While it might appear somewhat irresponsible, he wasn't in a hurry, and he could easily explain to Soaring Raven that he encountered some issues along the way.

Hopefully, he wouldn't get in trouble for such a mishap.

Three weeks later.

'I'm finally back…'

Pride welled in Shye's heart as he gazed upon the familiar gates of Valenzia City.

In the past, he could only enter the city with the assistance of Colzen Academy, but now, he was on the brink of establishing that very same city of dreams as his base of operations.

And all of this just eleven months into his adventuring career!

Entering the city after a thorough verification from the guards, a shocking thing happened.

[Congratulations! You've earned 48 points!]

"W-Wait, isn't that guy Shye Crowley?"

"Y-Yeah, I heard he's starting his career in the Raven's Blade Guild Branch in Balkrow City, I wonder why he's here?"

"Man, I still remember the day Guild Master Dong raged like a kid in front of the Raven's Blade's Guild Headquarters after finding out that Guild Master Soaring Raven successfully bagged the entire Colzen roster!"

"Hahahaha! That was funny indeed."

"I don't know about you guys but I'm recording this moment with a recording crystal!"

In sharp contrast to how unknown he was in Balkrow, mundane folks who had jobs inside the city and visiting low-ranked adventurers swarmed him, asking him for photos and recordings.

Naturally, Shye couldn't process what was happening.

Your adventure continues at empire

He understood that he was fairly well-known as the ace representative of last year's champion academy but there were people like him each year, no?

Unbeknownst to Shye, although there were indeed people like him every year, his performance was the most exciting and heaven-defying of them all.

Hence, he was amongst the most remembered ace representatives in the history of the Adventurer Academy Competition.

Snapping out of his confusion, Shye noticed that a lot of recording crystals were pointed at him, prompting him to automatically smile at them.

Of course, the mundane folks and the visiting low-ranked adventurers appreciated the fact that he took the time to cater to their wishes.

Unfortunately, the way they reciprocated was one that only caused further trouble for Shye as they spread the word to everyone they knew that Shye Crowley was at the city entrance, attracting more and more people who hoped to take photos and recordings with him.

As a result, he was now stuck in the middle of hundreds of people, and although he appreciated the free points he was earning, it was way too meager compared to the trouble he was going through.

Luckily, one adventurer, who was seemingly in his early thirties, noticed his predicament and stepped in.

"Hey, hey, please cut the young man some slack. He had been stuck here for almost two hours now, no? Let him go already." The adventurer with short black hair, attractive facial features, and a well-built physique said before looking at him and continuing: "Shye Crowley, correct? Follow me."

Nodding gratefully at the almost middle-aged adventurer, Shye looked at the crowd apologetically before following the black-haired adventurer.

"I'm Adrian Evans, an adventurer from the Divine Judgment Adventurer Guild. According to the information I have, you began your adventuring journey around 11 months ago. Could you please tell me why you're here in Valenzia City?"

"Ah, yes. Firstly, let me express my gratitude for saving me back there. I've been fortunate in my first eleven months of adventuring, which has led to my promotion to my guild's main branch here in Valenzia City. I'm currently en route to the main headquarters to report my arrival."

Hearing Shye's words, Adrian's eyes almost popped out of their sockets.

"W-What? You've been promoted to the main branch already? What rank are you at right now? C-Crap, now I understand why those people flocked to you like crazy! You're mad talented!"

Embarrassed at the stranger's sincere praises, Shye simply smiled at him awkwardly.

"W-Well then, the Raven's Blade Headquarters is situated around the middle of the third street. I have some errands to take care of, so I'll leave you here. See you later, super rookie!"
