Soon after they were rescued, Ethan and the others were sent to the transport plane and transported back to the Forbidden City. A week before arriving on Earth, the nonhumans were woken up from their sleeping cabins and locked up in the cargo hold, waiting for the spaceship to land. Now, there were less than 100 of the 300 people who were sent there, and half of them were dying.
