Chapter 136 - 136 - Rescue Team Part 1
After having a small chat, Yue went to freshen up. With just a towel, he came out to pick out his clothes.
While choosing his clothes, he accidentally looked out the window. The neighbouring house still looked to be in construction.
He ran out just like that. "Mum.. Why is our next door still under construction? Wasn't Fan Xui supposed to move in by now?.."
His mum faltered a bit.
"Mum... what's wrong?"
"Go wear your shirt kid. We'll talk after that," his father shooed him away. "And dry your hair!"
Yue ran back to his room and swiftly got dressed. He just tied his hair up in a ponytail and covered it with a towel and ran back out.
"Now tell me what's going on? Why is he not here? Did he move away?"
So many thought ran in his mind. 'Did he not want to stay here? Why maybe he found another house?' a small wave of sadness hit at the thought of his disappearance.
"Yue... Fan Xui did not move away.... he was in a coma."
"WHAT!" Yue stumbled forward a bit.
Tian caught him and helped him sit on the sofa.
"Wen told me that Fan Xui suddenly collapsed on the way back after having dinner with us. He had been admitted to the hospital and was comatose. No one knows how he is....or if he is even alive."
Yue shot up. "Which hospital?"
"Yue. Don't get too emotional,"
"Just tell me which hospital! I'll go and bring him back!"
His father glared at him. "Don't you raise your voice, young man? You are not going after anyone! One trip is enough to scare the life out of us. Look at your mother. She lost so much weigh worrying for you. Do you wish to put her through that again?"
Yue glanced down. His bottom lip started to tremble softly. He bit it, controlling his overwhelming feelings inside. "I'm sorry.. but.. it's Fan Xui. Don't you guys like him?"
His mum hugged him tightly. "We do.... but we love you so much more, baby. Seeing you covered in blood almost gave me a heart attack,"
"it was not my blood..."
"I know I know... but we don't want you to be hurt,"
Tian scoffed loudly.
Both her parents glanced at her.
"He is not a baby and don't smother him too much.... I get it. You love him, but have you seen him out there. He is a strong man, capable of taking care of himself and protecting others. Your worries are for naught. Just let him do what he likes." Tian stood by Yue.
"But.. but..." his father faltered.
Tian nodded. "You have to understand that Yue is an adult. He can decide whether he can leave or not."
Yue glanced up at her.
"Plus, I will be going with him. I'll take care of him and bring him back safe,"
"Tian~" Yue hugged her tightly. "I love you so much,"
"Gosh, get that snotty nose off of me." Tian pushed his head away, but he kept pulling her close.
With one eye on him, she looked at her so-called parents. They looked shocked and surprised being told off like that.
But she did not regret saying that out loud.
Coddling Yue will only waste his talents. Instead, they should trust him and let him fly high.
She raised a brow. "So what do you guys say?"
Yue's dad sighed loudly. "Wen did not tell me what hospital he was admitted to. The roads are blocked. You might have to ask your uncle's permission to leave."
"Dad~" Yue jumped on him and hugged him tight.
"Don't make me regret it. Come back in one piece. You too." He glanced at her. "I finally have a daughter I have always dreamt of. Don't get hurt trying to save his ass,"
"Dad!"
"Just saying. Both of you, I am giving you ten days. Come back before that or else you will be prohibited from leaving this house until you grow as old as your mother,"
Yue hesitated.
"Deal." Tian held out her hand. "Who is this, uncle Wen? We might have to meet up with him to get the specifics."
"He is our family friend. He lived nearby. You can go see him after having breakfast." Yue's father said, walking over to the dining table.
Yue watched in surprise how calmly his parents took that. "Tian, teach me how you did that?"
"You will get that ability to talk back when you are about my age,"
Yue blinked. 'I am supposed to be older than you mentally. I still don't have the guts to talk back like that. Maybe I am what people call a door mat.' he cringed visibly.
"Come eat. We have to go see your uncle."
"He is your uncle too," Zou Nui handed her a bowl of rice. "Hary and the others already ate. So finish all the side dies both of you,"
Yue glanced at the small plate of side dishes. He simply pushed it towards Tian.
"Oh sorry, I kind of forgot," his mum took the plate and placed it down. The plate miraculously turned into two, and then another appeared as well. She just duplicated two more plates from a single plate.
"Mum, did you find any regulation for your powers? Like what if you try to duplicate using the duplicated copy of the plate?"
"I tried, it works. I just can't duplicate bigger things just yet. A little more practice can help me out as well," she coolly whispered.
"Mum, how are you so awesome! And it tastes divine," Yue held his thumbs up. "Tian, try this,"
He placed a huge piece of chicken leg on her bowl.
Tian nodded and bit into it. Her eyes went wide for a second. But the next minute, she lowered her head and ate with relish.
Yue smirked widely. 'Looks like it's to her taste,'
Right after breakfast, the two got ready to meet uncle Wen. Juda and Lui planned on tagging long after taking their long waited rest.
Uncle Wen's house was only a little farther away from their house.
"We'll walk there."
Since Juda was carrying the car in her space, it was too risky to take it out now. There were praying eyes everywhere he saw.
Some new faces were also amongst them.
Some men openly checked them out.
Yue frowned deeply. "Men are pigs."
"You are one too.." Juda nudged him.
"I am, but not like them," Yue glanced at her with a brow raised. "Cuz I'm gay,"
Tian stumbled a bit.
Juda intently caught her by her waist. "Oh, I think someone is falling," Tian shook her away had hastened her phase. "Gay? That's nice. Anyone you fancy?"
His sister suddenly stopped, glancing back with her eyes narrowed. "Is it that Fan Xui? You cried for him,"
"You cried for a guy?!" Lui and Juda cornered him with questions.
"I-I do not like him like that. He is a good friend and.... we are close," Yue slightly pushed them off his face.
Zou Yue hasted his phase and ran towards uncle Wen's house.
On the way, a few military men noticed them.
'They are patrolling this place well. But without Fan Xui, here things are about to get chaotic. Initially, any settlement might seem peaceful but without firm controlling leader it will crumble.'
Fan Xui was such a person. Not only was an intelligent person, but he was also commanding. He could easily capture the hearts and loyalty of the military officials climbing into the settlement leader position in just three years.
'Last life, where was he when it all started? Was he in here? Was he in that hospital? Is it because of me this change happened?'
Fan Xui was blind for a very long time before he gained his eyes through a magical lotus. This life he was about to get surgery.
Yue sighed softly.
Before he knew it, he was standing in front of uncle Wen's house.
"What is your purpose here?" a military man gruffly said.
"I'm here to see uncle Wen."
"No one is allowed inside."
"No, I am his close relative. Please just let I'm know I'm here," Yue insisted.
The man grumbled loudly. "Join that guy and wait."
Yue glanced to the side. He saw a young man squatting there with his head lowered. 'Why does his figure look so familiar?'
The young man lifted his head up and glared at him.
'Ah, it's that green tea bitch,' Yue stiffened up.
Tian noticed his changes and looked at the young man as well threateningly.
Seeing her, Liwei's face changed drastically.
"You! Catch her! she is here to kill me! Kill her!! kill her!!" he dramatically shouted.
Yue pulled Tian behind him. "She did not do anything to you. Why are you shouting?"
"She is a killer! She will kill Fan Xui! She will kill everyone!!!"
Tian just stepped forward closer to his cowering form. "Shut up,"
Liwei glanced up with fear in his eyes.
Tian whispered something subtly and moved back.
Bai Liwei visibly looked shaken.
"What did you say to him?"
"Said the truth,"
