Chapter 114 - 114 - Incognito
The sun was on its horizon, creating a warm golden glow over the now empty city, City that was infested with flesh-eating, blood thirsty zombies.
Tian hid under a car tracking the trace mars left behind by that bike. She not only had to be careful of those zombies, but also had to be silent as she observed the clues left behind.
A few drops of blood and tire marks were all she got.
The clues were not much to begin with, plus the zombies in the way kept trampling on the tire marks.
By the evening, she had reached her destination.
With a short gun cocked on her shoulders. She glanced at through the scope. The place where Yue was abducted to was a college building. Huge walls surrounded this place, making it almost impossible to look in.
Sighing, she looked her gun strap over her shoulders and picked up her bags as silently as possible.
She ran to another empty alleyway that had only a narrow gap in-between. It had only a small gap that a bike can ride through.
Placing both hands and legs on each slide, she hosted up to a height where she had full view of that place.
She moved a bit in a way her back and legs were fully sporting her weight, leaving her hands free.
Tian Ai pulled back her gun up front and took an aim.
'This place has so many peoples..' was her first though.
The surviving humans either was killed brutally on the run or some of them hid in their homes. She had never seen such a huge number of humans.
Every building had at least a few hundred humans moving about.
'Looks like I might have to infiltrate it incognito...'
She climbed up to the rooftop. The building had a roofed ceiling, so there was no access to it from below. She sat back down, observing the college.
The sun went down and the daunting night came out, bringing random scream of pain and desperate pleas of help.
Tian closed her eyes tightly. 'They better not have done something to him...' her anger spiked so much.
Suddenly, a small blue spark appeared out of nowhere. The bottom of her coat caught on fire and started to burn.
Tian Ai swiftly put it out. 'Someone crept up behind me!'
She glanced around vigilantly. There were no human or zombies that were close enough to attack her.
'What was that?' she glanced down at her charred jeans. 'How did I just catch fire?'
'Everything has been weird...' she munched on an energy bar as she peered at the campus.
The final lights of the evening went away, shrouding her in total darkness.
Tian ai stood up, wiping her sticky hands. "Now the work begins," she shouldered her bag and climbed down.
The zombies seemed much more ferocious during nights than in the day. Maybe because at night, even the slightest sound and light were amplified.
Tian crept past a few of those critters.
She approached the campus slowly but surely, hiding her presence completely.
The zombie hoard was much more concentrated close to the walls. They were all clawing at the walls, trying you climb up.
'Zombie step ladder, how easy.' She tightened her bags and stepped back a bit. 'Here we go!'
She dashed as fast as she could towards them.
A few zombies glanced back slowly, but by then she already leapt and stomped over their shoulders.
She garbed onto the edge of the wall and swiftly rolled her body over to the other side.
'Phew, that was something...' her shoes were covered in a weird goo like substance. "ew..dirty." She wiped it off in the grass as much as she could.
A small sound of footsteps came closer towards her.
Tian swiftly ran into the building and mingled in with the crowd.

At the same time in the cafeteria, Yue sat there watching the two girls deep in their conversation.
After a few minutes, they seem to have come to a decision.
'Hmm, what will they decide?…... to come with me or to stay here at the safety of this place..' he wondered as he watched them walk towards him.
Lui peered down at him. "How do you know G city is safe?"
'She got directly to the point,' Yue smiled that her. "I have a secret informant,"
She just raised a brow. "Who? Commutations are down? How can you even talk to others?"
"Let's just say a specialist said so.." Yue tilted his head. "You agree to come with me?"
She bit her lips, glancing at Juda. "There are things I'm curious about....."
Yue glanced around. "This is not the place to talk. Let's go somewhere else. But before that," he stood up, patting his sore back. "Act like you are bulling me and pull me away," he whispered with a wink.
Juda looked at him, confused. "Why?"
"Just do as I say," Yue lowered his head, letting his long hanging hair cover his shimmering eyes.
"Okay..." Lui grabbed his collar. "Give me your food, old man! How many buns are you hiding.." she growled at him in a low tone.
A few other who were glancing their way all moved back, leaving them ample space.
"So you give me that bun you stole from my friend, huh! Let's see how you can deal with my fists," Lui grabbed him and forcefully pulled him away towards the faculty building.
All of them gave way.
Juda awkwardly followed behind them with tear-filled eyes, making other believe that this really was a disagreement.
After they were out of ear shot Lui, let go of him and straightened his collar. "Why did you do that?"
"I don't want them to be suspicious of me. Those three know that you both were my roommate. If we are seen talking familiarly, I will be caught before I could escape," Yue whispered scratching his wig.
"Wow, you thought it through.." Lui looked extremely impressed.
"Now let's talk,"
"Not here as well..." Yue gestured to the old church.
They all went in and locked the door.
Yue ran to the piano and retrieved the guns.
"What do you want to talk about?"
Zou Yue glanced at them both and sighed. "Since we are going to be travelling together, I shall be truthful.... I'm not a girl." he bit his lips, waiting for their reaction.
Lui just blinked. "What?"
"I'm a man..." Yue smiled. "But I can assure you I'm not interested in women..." he raised his hands as if to prove himself innocent.
Lui suddenly disappeared from his eyes sight.
Ye frowned. She appeared in front of him and suddenly grabbed his chest.
"Hey..." Yue stepped back.
"You..... you have no chest.. You're a guy!!!"
"Yes...." Yue smiled at her awkwardly.
Lui once again groped his chest. "Wow, like wow. How can you be a guy! No, it's not. You must be lying....."
"I'm a guy. Can't you guys guess it with my voice?" Yue pulled her hands off.
"I just... thought you had a sore throat..." she stuttered softly.
"Sorry to disappoint you..." Yue stepped back, leaning against the door. "I must look weird, right... a guy dressed as a girl..."
"No, no no.... It's totally not weird! I was surprised because of how good you look!" she said immediately.
"She is right, Yue. You look drop dead gorgeous! It really is hard to believe you are a guy,' Juda chimed in.
Yue blushed softly. "You jest... anyway... are you okay with travelling with a guy?"
"Yeah sure. We are all in." Lui held out her hand. "If you will have us.."
"Definitely," Yue shook her hand. "Tomorrow, right in the morning, we shall be leaving. Juda, your job is to collect your both morning rations and pick my bag and meet me at the backside wall."
"Yes!"
"Lui, you... you don't have much to do. You have to protect Juda while we are in here. Because... I kind of pissed off that guy. He might swing by our room searching for me..." he scratched his head.
"Who?"
"Tsu Fai... he was being an asshole. I threw a knife at him."
"What!! Is he dead?!!" Lui happily peered at him.
"Sadly no. It's not my decision to make. I don't want to be blamed for weakening this settlement. It's a decision that your settlement leaders must make," Yue pulled his guns bag up front. "I'll give you each a piston to keep yourself safe. Just don't use it unnecessarily. We don't have many bullets."
"One question." Lui squatted down in front of him. "How did you get the guns?'
"I got them in an underground gambling den. It was filled with thug like guys..." he lied through his teeth. He did not want to expose his sister's identity at any cause.
There is a high possibility that he might meet up with her. He did not want the two to misunderstand her as a killer.
"Oh other thing, I will be meeting up with my sister outside.... she.. she is not that willing to come with us, so I want to make sure that she has a safe place to stay before we leave the city. I know it's too much to ask. If you guys don't want to leave with me, then it's okay."
"We will come with you," Juda sternly said to him. "I don't want to be weak. So please train me. Teach me how to fight. Teach me how to kill those things,"
"Gladly," Yue smirked. "Here," he handed the loaded guns to each of them.
Lui held it in her hands with a loud sigh. "Yue, you are too trusting. Why would you give total strangers your gun... have it," she gave it back. "Give it to us when we earn our position in your group,"
Yue was perplexed. "It's for your safety... you can have it..."
"No, don't want it." Lui was firm in her stance.
Juda also gave hers back. "I don't know how to use this. Give it to me after you train me,"
Zou Yue chuckled, placing both the guns back in the bag. "Fine. Let's get going...."
