Chapter 731: 233. Sweep the Nest

Chapter 731: 233. Sweep the Nest

Noland Lee finished reviewing the deconstruction results and a thought came to his mind:

So, the Sea Serpent Leader’s final screech was to bring mutual destruction.

No wonder the Sea Serpent Leader stopped making any noise after that howl; it turns out that it severed its life essence by self-destructing.

Based on the description in the panel information, the unique object that could create the “Binding Force Field” had been damaged by the self-explosion of the Sea Serpent Leader.

That’s a bit of a pity.

Noland could taste a hint of “if I can’t have it, I’ll destroy it” from the behavior of the leader.

“Since the Sea Serpent Leader is dead, there shouldn’t be any particularly big threats in the Cave of Spreading Moss now, right?”

Noland narrowed his eyes slightly and looked at the sediment spinning within the cave.

With the death of the Sea Serpent Leader, the cave entrance beneath its body was completely exposed. The undercurrent rushed out of the entrance and swirled chaotically in the tunnel of the Cave of Spreading Moss, causing the sediment to float up and down.

Due to the churning of the undercurrent, quite a few sediments carrying high energy reserves of the dragon clan collection were washed out of the cave and into the nearby tunnels.

As Noland watched a good number of high-energy Dragon Clan collections being washed away by the undercurrent, he shook his head helplessly…

It was a mixed blessing!

He considered a few methods to stop the undercurrent at the moment.

Among them, the most convenient and quickest would be to use the recently acquired earth magic.

Noland currently had six Earth Magic spells; at least one of them should be able to block the undercurrent’s entrance.

The only problem was how he could withstand the raging undercurrent and make his way through the narrow and rugged tunnel to the Sea Serpent Leader’s nest.

Noland pondered for a moment, pulled up the spell list, and reviewed the spells he had mastered.

Never use flight spells under water.

Because flight spells are designed specifically for flying in gaseous media.

In water, especially in the deep-sea environment with immense water pressure, any flight spell would become a fuse for instant death.

Similarly, the “Magic Broom Summoning Scroll” could not work in seawater; the fragile magic broom would be instantly crushed by water pressure.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

“Do I have to activate ‘Power Burst’ and resist the impact of the undercurrent with my physical strength?”

Noland estimated the impact of the undercurrent and came up with a negative answer.

Even if he turned into a Titan while maintaining the “Deep Sea Swimming” spell, he could only advance a kilometer towards the nest.

The closer he got to the nest, the faster and more violent the undercurrent would become, rendering the “Power Burst” and “Deep Sea Swimming” spells incapable of resisting it.

Noland had to come up with another way.

If all else fails, he could return to the magic yacht and call for reinforcements.

Noland thought for a moment and looked over at the six earth magic spells, pausing on the “Stone Spirit Summoning Spell.”

Due to the lower completeness of the spell, it originally should have summoned a stone giant but was transformed into a stone spirit in Noland’s hands.

Noland recalled the introduction of the stone spirits in the “Fundamentals of Magic” and had some epiphany.

He found a solution!

It might not work, but there was no harm in giving it a try.

Noland floated out of the cave following the direction of the water stream and entered a tunnel with relatively stable seawater.

He stretched out his right hand towards the ground beneath his feet, drew a circle on the ground with his fingertips, and outlined the blueprint of the “Stone Spirit Summoning Spell” in his mind.

The area of the ground he pointed at bulged, forming a small bump.

The bump quickly cracked, and a small, slender rock creature rose from the fissure.

This little thing was only as tall as Noland’s knee, its torso and limbs made of the rocks of the Blue Cave, with no head and some glowing moss on its body, looking utterly foolish.

Noland pulled up the summoned creature’s panel and looked at the half-meter tall rock spirit with amusement:

“Wow, as expected, the rock spirit has mastered ‘Grounding Spell’, ‘Rolling Stone Spell’, ‘Rock Creation Magic’, and ‘Stone Passage’ earth magic just like the magic textbook described. It’s my summoned creature, so its earth magic is also mine, which means I indirectly mastered regular earth magic.”

Noland glanced at the tiny Rock Spirit and chuckled:

“It’s just that its head is a bit too small, and the self-sufficient earth magic level is not high. I have to level up the ‘Stone Spirit Summoning Spell’.”

Noland released the spell, causing the rock spirit in front of him to turn into rubble, slowly sinking to the ground.

He pulled up the spell interface for “Stone Spirit Summoning Spell” and put in 49,500 Energy Points at once to raise it to level 100.

[System Message:]

[The “Rock Spirit Summoning Spell” has gained +99 levels, now a Level 100 spell.]

[The “Construct Value” limit of the Rock Spirit has increased by 9,900 points, and the level of Earth Magic it masters has been raised to level 50.]

[The Rock Spirit has learned more Earth Magic spells, specifically: “Watchtower Form,” “Stone Shield Form,” “Small Earthquake Spell,” and “Throwing Stones.”]

[You have triggered the additional reward for leveling up 10 times.]

[Please choose 10 options from the following three:]

[Option One:]

[+500 points to the Construct Value limit of the Rock Spirit. The higher the Construct Value limit, the larger the size of the Rock Spirit.]

[Option Two:]

[Add the “Rock Splitting” feature. When this option is chosen, the rock spirit will split once when it takes fatal damage, turning into two smaller rock spirits with halved construct values and sizes. If this option is chosen again, the number of splits will increase by one when the rock spirit or its secondary entity takes fatal damage.]
