Blood demon leveling

Chapter 195: Area 51

Chapter 195: Area 51

Mike sat and listened to music for the best part of an hour, eventually, he got bored with just listening to music so he started to browse the net, but soon he laid aside the phone and began thinking

'Resolve My resolve'

However, before he got on with thinking a person opened the door and walked in carrying a tray with food for him, this was, of course Desomund, he showed a smile and placed the tray in front of Mike before he sat down in front of him and spoke

"Once you've eaten we're leaving via chopper"

Mike began eating, then he nodded before he asked

"Where are we going?"

"Home, via England More precisely we'll take a helicopter to just outside of London where we'll hop on a plane to Nevada"

"So We're going to Area 51?"

"Yeah"

"Cool, though if you gave me a military-grade GPS I could get there faster on my own"

"Ahahaha Wait, are you serious?"

"Yeah Man, these are some good potatoes"

Desmond looked at Mike for a bit before he sighed and stood up before he walked out of the room again, once he returned he was carrying some military equipment which he showed to Mike before he stuffed it in a backpack, then he handed said backpack to Mike

"Here, everything you need to get to Nevada on your own, without being shot down by our missile defense system"

"Cool"

Mike wiped his mouth and stood up before he stretched and put on the backpack, then he followed after Desmond up to the flight deck, standing on the flight deck Mike looked around after the sun and oriented himself before he nodded to Desmond and summoned his wings before he flapped them hard and flew into the sky, soon he disappeared above the clouds, Desmond sighed before he boarded a helicopter to follow after Mike

Mike used the flying time to think, that said, he really didn't get too far in his thinking as he soon realized that he had flown too far, signing he turned around and focused on flying instead of letting his mind wander, soon he landed on the hot desert sand of Nevada, behind him was a spiked metal fence and in front of him was a whole infantry platoon with their rifles pointed at him as they yelled at him to get his hands up, Mike sighed and summoned the half-transparent barrier around himself before he began walking towards the main compound while gunfire ran out around him

'Man I just don't care about anything do I..? Maybe that's the problem'

Mike found a new problem to contemplate and sat down before he thought it over

'I mean I care about Julie And I feel a sense of responsibility to my troops And if you asked me about whether or not I care about Beel and her course then Then I do like Beel as a person, but the whole Inter demnzonal conquest That's another matter isn't it?'

Mike didn't even realize that the gunfire had stopped he simply sat and thought until the evening arrived and a humvee followed by a truck drove up, the truck was there to pick up the soldiers while Desmond was sitting in the front seat of the humvee, Mike was still in deep thought when he arrived, so out of options to get in contact with him he knocked on the half-transparent barrier a few times before Mike's eyes seemed to regain focus and he jumped to his feet as the barrier disappeared, Mike's gaze fell upon the soldiers that had been shooting at him earlier before he sighed once he saw the fear in their eyes, then he spoke to Desmond

"Let's go Des"

"Sure, I got a room ready for you at the base, plus a change of clothes and a shower"

"That sounds good As long as you don't touch my leather armor, it's a gift from my wife after all"

"Of course, we won't touch your stuff without your permission"

Mike showed a slight smile

"That's good"

The next morning Mike awoke, he sat himself up and looked around the room, there was a table with a chair off to the side facing the wall where his leather armor lay, neatly folded, Mike checked the time on the phone he had borrowed before he went to take a shower in the linked bathroom after he was done he put a black tank top that seemed like it was a size too big and some grey joggings, Mike looked at himself in the mirror and commented

"Really brings out the trailer park boy in me"

Satisfied with his look Mike remembered the ID card that laid on the table, he picked it up and hung it around his neck from the 'Area 51' string, on the font was not a picture of him but a black block with the words 'pass' inside it, written in white, apparently this was an all-access pass to the entire facility, then he picked up the headphones from the bed and put on some music before he stuffed the phone into his pocket and walked out of the room, from there he spent the entire noon walking around the base, there weren't any aliens like he had hoped, instead, he was probably the most alien-like at the base, soon he felt his phone vibrate, so he took it out and hang his headphones around his neck as he read the text message he had received from Des and showed a smile before he followed the instructions on the phone's map and soon arrived at an empty aircraft hangar where a couple of people were present, they all looked over towards Mike as he walked in, two of them he knew, one was Desmond and the other was Chloe, as for the rest from the mana signatures they gave off they weren't weak by Earth's standards, thought to Mike they were around level 4, in other words so weak that they could be safely ignored

"It's a real demon"

Mike ignored the mutter one of the other's let out before he walked over to Chloe and greeted her with a fist bump (Which confused both her and the rest of the people present) before he turned to Desmond and asked

"What's up?"

"Didn't you read the text, Mike..?"

"I did"

"Okay, in that case, let's get started right away"

Mike nodded and looked over at the makeshift gym that was in front of them, this was a physical test, to 'better gasp his physical abilities and needs' or some such, Mike was last in the line and sat down on the ground and listened to some music while the others went through the processes of testing their strength and such, soon it was Mike's turn, he walked up to the benchpress and simply began putting on weights, the other people being tested looked on with wonder as Mike eventually ran out of wights to add to the pole, then he comically looked around for more wights for a bit before he sighed and laid down on the bench and lifted the 525-kilogram pole with ease before he began making bench presses, his tail supported the bench so it didn't collapse under the weight, soon he was nearing a hundred repeats and yet only now sweat had formed on his forehead, then once he fisnhed his 100th rep he stood up again and without missing a beat he piked up the pole and began doing Bicep curls, then after that he began doing weighted squads while holding the same pole, then once he was done he trew the pole into the air and caught it with his tail and began doing Well 'tail curls' with the weighted pole, then once he was done with that he laid it down on the wight holder before he turned to one of the doctors and asked

"What's next?"

That question woke up the room as people suddenly began to remember what they were doing and continued doing it

"...Oh right, next is a blood test, we only need a little of your blood t---"

Mike showed a bright smile as he interrupted the doctor

"That's not going to happen"

Desmond looked on from the side and quickly asked

"Why not, Mike?"

"Because I've seen movies, I know you guys have a rep of using all kinds of strange things to enhance soldiers Besides, I haven't bled in a long time and I am not bleeding today"

Mike looked over at Desmond and saw that he wasn't convinced so he sighed before he spoke with a smile

"My blood is special, too special for your greedy hands to touch, besides I am the demon of blood, no way I am giving up any of my blood here, the only way you're going to get it is by taking it from me"

Mike looked around at the people present before he scoffed

"And by the looks of it you guys don't have what it takes"
