Another Stupid Isekai

Chapter 199

With the sun rising up it was time to start moving. Ki'rei got woken as I started to crawl from under the cart. We quickly ate breakfast, and I proceeded to clear the vicinity out of bears, then I made it closer to the den, killed guards, and went underground, to abuse Rishi's tactic.

Shadows picked all the crystals for me, and after taking a very short break to eat, I was going to depart, but she stopped me.

- Where are you going? - she asked transforming from her chicken form.

- I need to check something and perhaps talk with somebody.

- I'm going too.

- No. If he sees you as Tam, he will find out that something is going on. It's a smart person. He can put two and two together.

- Then I won't be Tam. I can be almost anything.

- No. If he sees you, he will know. Just stay here, ok? In few hours I'll be back.

- I'm going - she said, getting all serious, and looking me straight in the eyes.

I sighed.

- You can go only if you can transform into something he won't notice at all.

She came closer to me and grabbed me by the pocket of my hoodie. I was gonna ask her what the hell is she doing, but then she suddenly transformed into a kitten, straight into that pocket of mine.

The same kitten I summoned for Alice. Razzle.

I sighed again.

- Don't move, don't make any noises, and don't even think of getting out. You are sitting there as long as we have people around us. Do you understand?

- Meow.

- I can only hope that's a yes.

I left the shadows guarding the carts, used shadow fusion and started running at full speed towards the den of wolves. It was a bit annoying with a weapon in hand, but possible. With the skill upgraded to the max, there was a visible difference in both my speed and power. I still needed more though, way more to be able to challenge that beast, boss of orcs.

In a couple of hours, I reached my destination. Blue and his men were camping on the outside, eating and resting before going underground. My appearance put them on alert.

- What brings you here, Peter? - asked Blue as soon as I stopped.

- Are you going after the boss? - I asked straight away.

He was confused for a second.

- No – he answered quickly. - It's too risky with our numbers. We are collecting only crystals for now. Getting stronger. That's why you came here, to kill it? Are you not hunting bears? Where are your carts? You had several of them.

- I want to hunt both bears and the werewolf. I can make the distance in one day, and I figured a way to hunt them quickly, so I thought why not try the boss when you probably lack the manpower to do it.

He scratched his cheek for a second.

- Fine by me, but only as long as we can't do it ourselves. We need that class points just as you do.

- Of course. I didn't come here to kick you out, but to talk.

Blue nodded, then extended his hand. I looked at that gesture, surprised at first, and with a second or two of hesitation, I ended up shaking that hand. Something I would never even imagine could happen, and there we were.

- I'll help you clear the den. This way you can save a bit of energy, and time.

- Thank you. Boys! Let's move. Today we should end a bit faster!

People started moving almost immediately, but I didn't wait for them and went inside. I was a bit afraid that Ki'rei in my pocket might have a hard time when I'll be fighting, but we still had darkness working in our favor.

With fire in one hand and pudao in the other, I started slaughtering wolves as they came at me. I did my best to remain as stationary as possible. It was surprisingly easy with my new speed and strength. Soon it became even easier, as a bunch of werewolves joined me. We made it to the boss pretty quickly.

That was the hardest part, as I knew that the boss won't go down as easily as his minions, and I still had a kitten in my pocket. Blue and his crew joined me. Soldiers kept their distance, but their leader joined in the fight.

The two of us dealt with the enemy in no time. At first, there was a bit of struggle, as we were properly fighting together for the first time, but we figured it out after few moments. He ended creating an opening for me, and I just slashed with all my might. That was enough to almost take the head of the boss's shoulders, another hit finished the job.

Then we parted the way, and I started running back. I stopped for a moment after a bit of sprint, to check on Ki'rei. She immediately transformed back. She was upset and unwell.

- Are you okay?

- You shake too much – she said reproachfully.

I knew it's gonna end this way, or even worse. To be honest I was happy with the outcome.

- I told you that was a bad idea – I said with a smile.

She tried to kick me for that, but I was too fast and avoided it.

- I hope you learned your lesson.

- Let's go back! I'm hungry!

I laughed, and we started walking. She needed some break to come back to her own self. Then she transformed back, and I ran again, to make it back shortly after dark. Fortunately, my fire magic was enough to lighten up the path to the point I, with a bit of focus, didn't have to slow down too much.

We finally ate. I just devoured mine, but she took her time.

That day came to an end with 5 062 920 points remaining on my account, four class points, and 566 bear crystals on one of my carts.
