Ed trembled as he heard those humiliating words.

On the other hand, I shook my head after looking at those guys and Ed. I am not the savior. When it comes to personal interests, I am worse than those guys.

''I will do anything for survival," I said in my heart.

Then I walked past them and entered the office with Ed.

I noticed staff working behind the desk. I approached them and asked about the details.Before purchasing tickets to Sand Rock Country, I showed them my appraiser ID.

I was pleased to learn that there is direct transportation from here to other countries. But it cost me 100 mod-grade mama stones.

Ed was watching everything in silence. He simply wants to leave this place as soon as possible. He almost forgot about the pay

"Let's leave," I said to him.

Then we both walked out of the place. Surprisingly, these arrogant guides are waiting outside. They are looking at Ed with a smirk. They are not stupid enough to clash with the guests.

They can only take their anger on Ed.

Under their gaze, we left the auction building area and continued walking on.

On the way, I thought of something before asking,"Are you living at the settlement?"

Ed replied,"Yes"

But his voice was low.

I asked,"Then how did you manage to get the job?"

"I was recommended by an old man working for the auction," He replied.

Before I could ask further, he added,"But he can't always defend me. Like me, those guys were also recommended by someone. Auction house has been divided into several factions."

A look of understanding dawned on me.

"I know that you are enduring. But remember, it's not good to wait for too long. Start making plans to eliminate them. It will be helpful when you find yourself in a tough position," I said to him.

We eventually arrived at the airfield. My gaze swept across the entryway. Guards are stationed in front of the entrance.

"It is your payment," I said as I gave him the potion.

Then I noticed some people were heading in this direction. They are the guides. I believe they are here to plunder Ed's wealth.

Ed takes the pouch with trembling hands.

When Ed heard that, he immediately hid the pouch inside his shirt.

Ed replied, "Thank you, mister."

Then he turns to check. He noticed the appearance of those guys.

On the other hand, I noticed his reaction.

I pondered, "Should I kill them?"

Then I said, "There is a black potion in the pouch. You find a safe location to use the potion on them. It will kill them without leaving any traces."

Hearing that Ed found his lost confidence. Earlier, he didn't have any means to do it. Now he can make plans to eliminate them.

"Then I'll be leaving mister. It's nice to see you," After saying that Ed left happily.

Not long after those guides followed after him.

Seeing that my eyes gleamed with a twinkle.

Then I started going towards the entrance. When I got there. I gave the ticket to the guard. After seeing it, the guard allowed me to enter.

While walking, I noticed a large number of airships parked in the field. Then I saw number three on the ticket. Seeing this, I swept my gaze over. I found the number 3 airship, which is large and black in color.

Aside from me, there are a few wizards waiting to board.

Then I began approaching the airship. The wizards noticed my presence. Upon seeing me everyone cast me a strange look.

I'm still wearing my mask. It is odd that no one bothered to ask me to remove it.

On the other hand, the wizards exchanged looks.

"Was he the one?"

"Yeah, he is the one who showed the appraiser's identity."

"Should we attack him right now?"

The group of 6 wizards communicated through some spell.

Clearly, all of this was pre planned. The people behind the auction house never let go of a chance to target a lone wolf.

Each year many died mysteriously during the auction season. But most of the work was done by the auction house.

On the other hand, I found the atmosphere was a bit strange. I was hoping to strike up a conversation. But they seemed to avoid me for some reason.

Then I began to use a system to probe each and everyone. There are 3 Level-6 Wizards and 3 level-7 wizards. The result surprised me a lot.

Since I have found the airship. I have decided to wait. I don't want to start an unfriendly conversation.

A bulky middle aged man can. He was dressed in beast clothes. Seeing that I have guessed what type of magic he practiced.

Just as I thought he was another customer. I saw a group of wizards go to greet him.

"Leader, you are late!"

"If you had delayed any further, we would have started without telling you."

A slender looking wizard spoke.

The bulky wizard grinned before asking,"I know. So let's finish the task first. Where is the vermin?"

Hearing that everyone turned towards the target.

[Ding! Warning!]

[Multiple Killing intents were detected]

The mechanical voice sounded all of a sudden in my mind.

Swoosh!

Hearing that I swiftly retreated backwards creating a distance. My gaze then immediately fell on the newcomer.

I used the system to inspect.

"Level-8," A surprise exclamation left my mouth.

The Bulky wizard and others were surprised as well. They were careful not to reveal anything. But the target has found out something wrong.

"You are quite perspective. No wonder you are an appraiser," The Bulky Wizard said with a grin.

He was not at all afraid that the target would leave. Because the guards won't allow it. This airfield was already surrounded.

On the other hand, I realized what happened. No one knows about the appraiser identity except the guard and the staff in the auction house.

To think they have arranged a party to attack in a short span of time. I couldn't help but be shocked to the core.

I got hidden injuries at multiple places. The senses are screaming at me. But fortunately I was able to retain some clarity. I thought of Gregor Mansion before appearing inside.

I appeared in the middle of the hall. I didn't have strength to lift my finger. But I began to focus. I wanted to check my mana core first. It's the foundation of the wizard.

When I began to check internally. I found that the mana core was fine. It's just the rest of the parts have taken a hit.

I used a last bit of energy to consume the healing potions and fainted.

Outside,

The Wizards are gleeful. They looked at each other like they had done nothing. It was not the first time for them to target fat sheep.

It's just sometimes the lone wolf are High and Peak level wizards. It required team Strength to defeat them.

The Bulky Wizard frowned and murmured, "He turned out to be trash. When the auction magic circles failed to test his strength. I assumed he was a big shot. Otherwise, I would not have come here."
