Vincent Wolf was at a loss.

“Am I just waiting for death?”

He was desperate.

For a death row prisoner, the scariest thing isn’t stepping onto the execution ground or biting into the peanut, it’s the night before heading to the gallows.

Many men, who once prided themselves on their robust spirit, found it hard to withstand the psychological impact of the last night. Some would collapse, some would go mad, and others would go completely silent.

Even scarier was standing on the execution ground, ready for death, hearing the sound of the “bang” but realizing you’re not dead yet. At that point, no matter how strong a person’s will is, they will mentally fall apart.

Right now, this might as well be Vincent Wolf. He had already prepared for death, only to be pleasantly surprised to find he hadn’t died, that he had a sliver of a chance. But this chance disappeared in an instant, replaced by the unknown feeling of when death would come.

“It would be better if it all just ended quickly.”

Wolf limply sat on Dragon Town’s back, casually placing the pet beast Barry behind him, using him like a large water bed.

Just as Wolf had made up his mind to face his end in his sleep, he was suddenly startled.

“Wait, don’t I still have the Life Attribute? Why am I not in tune with the

Phoenix power! ” “Phoenix! Are you there? Are you there!”

“What is it, Awakener?”

“I have the Life Attribute, which should be attuned with you.”

A ray of light flashed above Wolf, and after a few minutes, Phoenix’s voice came: “I have already checked, and you do not possess the Life Attribute.”

“How could that be! What about Barry, this slime behind me.”

“Same, none.”

At this point, Wolf was beginning to lose control. Could it be that the panel the Simulation gave him was actually fake?

Neither he nor Barry actually had the Life Attribute?

Then, how could the Life Power inside them be produced?

Energy exploded all around Wolf, forcing out a bit of Life Power. After inspecting it for a while, he didn’t believe it to be counterfeit.

“Are fakes so similar to genuine products nowadays!”

Phoenix’s voice came over, and the previously calm voice now had a hint of franticness to it.

“How can you have Life Power, could it be that you really have the Life Attribute?”

These words fell like a fiery red beam of light directly down on Wolf and Barry.

Wolf only felt extreme heat enveloping his body, but, unlike the usual discomfort of a fever, he felt like his body was filled to the brim with explosive limitless Energy. With each breath, endless streams of Life Energy circulated within him and the environment.

The surrounding environment also started to change. The spreading red-brown dirt on the ground gradually lost its bloody color, the uncanny small bugs died off, replaced by specks of new green sprouts which gradually started to stretch their bodies under the exposure of Wolf’s Life Energy.

The cage of the Power of Death that surrounded Wolf, Barry, and Dragon town – trapping them — also started to melt under this Life Energy.

Wolf was experiencing himself — this feeling of fullness and exhilaration was addictive.

“Phoenix, didn’t you say I have no Life Attribute!”

Phoenix didn’t know what to say because he had never encountered this situation before. He was the Spirit of the Life Secret Realm, in this Mysterious Realm, he was the controller of the Life Power. If even he couldn’t detect it, then there must be a serious problem with this person.

“Think carefully, is there anything unusual about you?” Phoenix asked Wolf.

“Ha, if you can’t perceive it then you just can’t perceive it. Don’t blame it on me.

How could there be anything wrong with me…”

Mid-sentence, Wolf suddenly sensed another attribute becoming active in his body and was at a loss for words.

He extended his hand and a stream of the Power of Death was steadily growing thanks to the transformation of the Life Power in his body. With a thought, the Power of Death again transformed back into Life Power via his body.

“They can actually transform into each other, could it be that me having both Life Attribute and Death Attribute is the reason why Phoenix can’t perceive them!” Vincent Wolf couldn’t believe what he was seeing.

“Are you really a human, or have you humans evolved behind my back over these years when I was unconscious!” Phoenix was equally baffled by this situation.

But seeing the change occurring in his body, he quickly swung his thoughts around, his eyes glittering with brilliancy.

“Hahaha, I get it. I know how to break free now!”

Wolf was laughing heartily like a lunatic, which woke the four Masters from their daze. Seeing his behavior they sighed in sympathy and seemed distraught.

“Sigh, we old fellows have lived long enough, but it’s a pity about this young man, so young and already facing death.” The Grandmaster of the City Defense Team lamented sorrowfully.

“Yeah, looking at him now, even if he survives, he will probably go mad.”

Another Grandmaster of the City Defense Team was crying out in despair.

“It’s all our fault, we useless old men!” Brad Winter gripped his hands tightly, his fingernails digging into his flesh, leaving trails of blood.

Only Aiden Winter remained silent for a moment, and then, with determination, shouted towards Wolf, “It’s over now and there’s no point in hiding it anymore. I don’t want to take this to the grave. Listen carefully, young man, actually, I am….”

Aiden’s words were cut off when he saw Wolf prying open the Death Power cage confining him, poking his head out curiously to look at the four Grandmasters.

‘Hey, what were you guys saying just now? I was busy breaking open this cage and didn’t hear clearly, could you repeat it?”

“Hahaha, who spoke just now? Did you say something?”

“No I didn’t, I didn’t say a word, it must’ve been Master Winter, I vaguely heard his voice.”

Did someone speak? I was too engrossed in figuring out a solution to the predicament and didn’t notice anyone talking. Master Winter, wasn’t it you?”

“A joke, I was just about to figure out how to kill this Abyssal Demon Eye, how would I have time for such trivial talk?”

Seeing the four Masters’ solemn faces, it seemed like they weren’t lying, so Wolf no longer cared about these minor details. At this point, he had used his peculiar transformation ability to convert the Death-Power-built cage into Life Energy and absorbed it, freeing himself from the cage.

“Don’t worry Masters, I will come to rescue you all soon!”

Looking at the four imprisoned Masters and their pet beasts, Wolf’s spirits rose and he bellowed loudly..
